Carnegie Mellon University

I graduated from Department of Biomedical Engineering, Carnegie Mellon University with a Ph.D. Through my Ph.D. study I applied the knowledge and the techniques of computational geometry and numerical methods to aid surgery and clinical diagnosis. I studied at the Computer Integrated Engineering Laboratory (CIELab), and Biothermal Technology Laboratory under the advisory of Professor Kenji Shimada, and Professor Yoed Rabin. After graduating, I switched application field from Biomedical Engineering to Geophysics; I am currently working at WesternGeco (wiki) - Schlumberger to research and develop system to visualize seimic data.

I was born and grew up in the city of Yokohama in Japan. I traveled to United Kingdom, Italy, China (including Hong Kong), France, United States, Malaysia, Singapore, Canada, and Germany. I lived in the city of Pittsburgh of Pensylvania state of United States for 4 years and half during my Ph.D study, and now I am enjoying the new life in Houston, Texas.
