Brikka Advice
Seems like my previous attempt at submitting a post has failed. Ah, well...
My main point was: Brikka and espresso are quite different and it's better to think of Brikka as a special type of coffee than to see it as pseudo-espresso.

Awesome!: Thanks for the link...actually this is where I found you first :) I certainly had lots misunderstanding on brewing Brikka coffee, and macchinetta in general. I need to check back this link again to start experimenting every morning. How deep and exciting to use Brikka!

Flavor: A great site! I agree with Alexandre that Brikka coffee is delicious and very well flavored. I also agree (though not stated in this post) that it is MUCH easier to get a great cup from the Brikka. OTOH, I think a good espresso demonstrates all the complexities a coffee has to offer - better. It's higher pressure and deeper extraction get, to me, just about everything there is to get. The issue isn't the crema, though crema is a sign you've done something right. In the end, it's all about the taste.

This site is powered by the people powered by the good caffeine of the Brikka coffee.
This site is not related to the Bialetti corporation, but we still cheer and love their products!
