Brikka

I have used my new Brikka a few times.  I took the Brikka off the heat when it started to whoose.  The top was open and I saw the crema.  The problem is that the crema dissipates so quickly, even before I have a chance to poor it into my cup.  I use freshly ground coffee using my grinder set on the espresso setting.  I fill the filter cup about half full.  I use the provided measuring cup to add the water.  The coffee tastes good, but I am dissappointed without the cream staying.  What am I doing wrong???

Same problem: I have the same problem.  Would love any advice.  I do mine just like the videos on youtube and it doesn't come out the same.

How about different beans?: How about trying different beans? Some bean produces longer lasting crema than the other. Check out the beans review on this site by choosing category as "Coffee beans" from the top left menu.

Over-rated:

Don't worry too much about crema. Changing beans (incr. robusta content) could possibly give you crema, but wouldnt necessarily give you taste.

I say if it tastes good then don't change a thing!

CREMA is OVERRATED!
